CAPE TOWN – Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Thembi Simelane will brief the Justice portfolio committee on allegations against her regarding VBS Mutual Bank.
Her appearance before the portfolio committee follows allegations she benefited from the VBS Mutua bank heist during her tenure as mayor of Polokwane.

She allegedly received a commercial loan worth over five-hundred-thousand rand from a company linked to the now-defunct bank.
Simelane also has to submit a report on the matter to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
She will also be appearing before the ANC’s integrity committee over the allegations.
